Transportation Grade 7 Curriculum Narrative Spanish To introduce the students to the Spanish language by providing the following language skills: Listening Speaking Reading Writing Students will learn how: To greet and to say goodbye to people To express simple courtesies To say the days of the week To say the months of the year To count from 0 to 100 To say the seasons To ask who someone is To state where someone is from To describe a person or thing To identify people or things To talk about a famous Spanish novel and some Hispanic culture To talk about more than one person or thing To discuss class subjects in school and to express opinions about them To tell time To tell at what time an event takes place Grade 8 Curriculum Narrative Spanish To provide the students with the following language skills: Listening Speaking Reading Writing The students will learn how: To identify and describe school supplies To identify and describe articles of clothing To shop for school supplies and clothing To state color and size preferences To speak to people formally and informally To discuss differences between schools in the United States and in Spanish-speaking countries To talk about going to school To talk about some school activities To greet people and ask how they feel Tell how you feel To describe where you and others go To describe where you and others are Students will also be introduced to a Cooperative Learning Program called “En Grupos”. This program will encourage them to converse among themselves and become active participants of each project/activity by working in groups of four.
