The 8th Grade Service Project for the month of January is BIRTHDAY IN A BOX. For this service project, we are collecting all kinds of birthday party supplies, which will allow underprivileged children, ages 1-17, to celebrate their birthdays in an exciting way. We are asking all grades to participate by bringing in birthday party donations (details in sign-up genius list).  At the close of the drive (January 31), 8th grade students will assemble the boxes and we will deliver them to the Birthday Wishes organization. 

We have included a link to a Sign-Up Genius list of the desired items for a "Birthday in a Box." Do not include items that are not on the sign-up genius list. The organization is specific on the guidelines for each box. If you plan to donate items, please note that on the sign-up genius list. Please note that all items must be new and in unopened packaging. If donating a food item, please be sure the expiration date is at least 3 months away.

THIS IS A COMPETITION! The homeroom with the most donated items will win a dress-down day. Our goal is to build 30 Birthdays in a Box, but we would love to build even more! 

If you would like to donate an entire box worth of items in a specific theme, like Frozen or Paw Patrol, please note that this should include:

1 cake mix
1 Container of frosting
Single-use cake pan
Candles
Wrapping paper
Tablecloth
Plates
Napkins
Party Hats
1-2 Decorations (streamers, centerpiece, dangling decorations, banner)
Balloons
