Dear Parent and Families,

The first day of school is always an exciting time for everyone.  With this in mind, we change our morning drop off procedure for the first day of school only.  On the morning of Wednesday, September 4, we will ask our students to line up in the schoolyard in the places they would normally line up at the end of lunch recess. The spots are clearly indicated by grade. Staff members will be there to assist.  This will give parents, who wish, the opportunity to come into the schoolyard and take photographs or give their child a last minute hug.

All traffic must enter through Park Avenue and exit onto Pleasant Street. Parents who wish to come into the schoolyard will need to park up by the flagpole or across the street at the rectory parking lot. Parking will not be allowed in front of the Parish Center. Officer Flanagan, Mr. William Coyte and I will be there to assist and help keep traffic flowing.

Children will be brought into the building at 8:25 on Wednesday morning.  On Thursday morning, September 5, we will return to our regular traffic pattern allowing vehicles to come into the schoolyard and make the loop. Students will be brought into the building at 8:15.

On all subsequent days, the traffic pattern will remain that vehicles enter on Park Avenue and exit on Pleasant Street.  In the event of inclement weather on Wednesday, students will be sent into McShea Auditorium. Parents are welcome to join them.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday morning.
